I just finished the third book in The Violet Eden Chapters, and boy was it good. I have just LOVED this series! I was able to borrow this ebook from the library, and then I may have purchased it anyway. And I thought I would just bring you a little teaser. So here it is from a random page I turned to:

Isn't that a great teaser? Vague enough so you don't know which guy it is referring to. But hopefully enough to get your attention. I love that this series has a strong female lead character, Violet, one of my favorite villian's, Phoenix, and one of the most frustrating love interests, Lincoln. Definitely a 5 star rating from me:-)

Element, Part 1 novella

First, I must say that I just love the cover to Element. It is what drew me to the book and had me checking out the blurb. Gorgeous colors. And I really enjoyed the story, too. I thought it would be more about elements and powers, but it wasn't. It was more of a romance with the mystery mixed in holding your interest, and I found myself trying to guess what was going to happen.
Natalie is attending school at UT over the summer and is interning at Kronberg Laboratories, along with her friend Lise. On the first day there they meet Sal and Ryan, and things start to change for Natalie. She starts having strange sensations and feelings when Ryan is near. And many unexplainable things start happening to her. I do not want to say much because I do not want to run the risk of spoiling anything. I will say there is romance, love, hot flashes, a drug study we need to know more about, what may be a creepy boss, and the mystery of the supernatural, that all come into play in this short novel. And there are many many things still to uncover about what has been happening with Natalie, and what is the true cause.
The romance in this was sweet, the language stayed pretty clean, and there was enough secrets to try and figure out to keep me turning pages. Natalie has so many mysterious changes going on that I need the next book to see where the author takes it. And it did end with a bit of a cliffie. And since it is a long novella at 168 pages, there is a lot still to discover that has me wanting the next book.
