Poet and Don't Know It...

I thought it would be fun to share some silly poems I wrote a few years ago when I was pregnant with my last child. Actually, it is probably more embarrassing than fun:/ I am now having second thoughts. For some unexplainable reason I was coming up with a bunch of silly rhymes while I was pregnant. Haven't really written anything since, and maybe it should stay that way. A lot of them had to do with being hungry, miserable, or needing some sleep:) What else is there for a pregnant woman to think about? LOL You can tell that I am a mother with a house full of beautiful children:) Anyway here are a few of the better ones, or at least not so embarrassing. Hopefully they make you smile and not wish you had never visited this blog.

That Stupid Ice Cream Truck!
I was gonna take a vacation
Had my money saved in a can
But then my children took it
And gave it to the ice cream man.

He drives by every evening
Taunting with his musical jeep
All the children go running
My money, I wish I could keep

So goodbye to my vacation
and so long to the ice cream man
'cuz now he's on vacation
With my money in his hand

My Zoo
Papers, wrappers
Crumbs everywhere
You'd think I was living
With a bunch of bears!

Who's that jumping
Running here and there?
Oh my, I am surrounded
Monkeys are everywhere!

Where'd all this hair come from?
Who scratched up that?
Who's climbing on the counters?
Must be a giant cat!

What's that weird smell?
What could this be?
Oh no! This is bad.
A skunk has gotten free!

That is all, folks! I probably should stick to reading:D

  1. These are great. I can totally relate and they made me laugh. Poetry is not my thing at all. I'm impressed.
